Why work with us

We work for the owner, not the buyer.

We do not buy records and we are not paid to get you to sign. Our job is to help you understand the opportunity, decide whether it is worth it for your business and go through a clear process if you go ahead.

On your side

What being on your side means.

  • Your interests first. The first conversation is about whether this is good for your business, and sometimes the honest answer is no.
  • The right partner for your records. We only introduce you to a licensing partner we work with directly. If your records fall outside what that partner handles, we tell you, rather than force a fit.
  • Plain terms before anything is signed. We walk you through what a licence would cover: which records, how they may be used, exclusivity, how long and when you are paid.
  • Clear, fair terms. Before you agree to anything, we go through the offer with you, put your questions and concerns to the partner and make sure what you sign matches what was discussed.
  • Introductions only with your consent. We introduce you to a licensing partner only when you ask, and share only what you approve.
  • Protection handled by specialists. Confidentiality, data rights, customer information and usage limits are reviewed by the partner's specialists. You are welcome to bring your own lawyer or adviser.
  • With you from first call to close. We prepare the introduction so you do not repeat yourself, stay in touch through assessment and offer, and chase answers when something is unclear.
Before you decide

Questions worth asking any buyer.

  • Which records exactly does the licence cover, and which stay out?
  • Is it exclusive, and for how long?
  • Can we license records we create after this deal?
  • What happens to customer names and personal information?
  • What triggers payment, and when does it arrive?

We make sure you have clear answers to these before you decide.

You never pay us. If a licence goes ahead, the licensing partner pays our fee from its side of the deal. About us →
